Deal To Install And Maintain Sun Pacific’s Solar Powered Bus Shelters And Transit Amenities In Hundreds Of Locations

pic-bus-1Union Beach, NJ – Sun Pacific Power Corp., a Commercial Electrical Contractor, which manufactures, distributes and installs commercial electrical fixtures, components, and an array of solar products, including solar powered Bus Shelters, Waste and Recycle bins with an advertising medium, announced today that it has signed a contract with the State of Florida’s capital city Tallahassee, Florida. As the recipient of this ten (10) year award, SPPC is to provide and maintain transit amenities, including solar powered Smart Shelters and benches through-out the city of Tallahassee, and it’s unincorporated areas serviced by the Tallahassee Transit Authority, StarMetro. This ten (10) year deal is a “win-win” for both the City of Tallahassee and SPPC, constituting a joint-effort, between the parties as they design and initiate the implementation plan in coming weeks. The Long-term revenue model for SPPC, generates income through the sale of rolling advertising space found within the Smart Shelters and Benches to both local and national companies, as well as the leasing of wi-fi signal boosters to national data providers. With close to 1,000 bus stops, the revenue generated by the Smart Shelters and benches will not only create a recurring stream of ongoing revenues for SPPC, but also boost revenues for the City of Tallahassee as it will be the beneficiaries of a monthly revenue percentage, which will reduce the programs overall costs, allowing StarMetro the opportunity to budget and focus on other items benefitting the needs of its riders.

tc-57While SPPC has several contracts with other municipalities, cities and locations, both within the State of Florida and in other states the terms of this deal will be used by SPPC to enter into future long-term contracts with other larger cities and counties, as it strengthens and develops its supporting infrastructure.
