Nano Technology CIGS Solar Modules - CDF Advantage

The World's First High Power CIGS Solar Modules Ranging from 100W - 360W

To become a giant in the green energy industry, we aim to capture the unlimited power of the sun to create an efficient and sustainable source of energy for the planet.

Nano Technology utilizes CIGS (Cu, In, Ga, Se) technology in its solar panels because of the numerous advantages of this innovative process. These advantages include high conversion efficiency, low costs of manufacturing, the ability to fully utilize a wide range of wavelengths of sun light and therefore retain efficacy in overcast conditions, and an environmentally friendly production process that minimizes our footprint on nature. Furthermore, our manufacturing techniques use less electricity than our competitors use, shortening the EPT (energy payback time) of our solar panels. The ultimate goal of our company is to use and create truly renewable energy—from the production of our products to their use in homes and businesses—that will power a sustainable future for our world.

Fast refinancing of investment thanks to cost advantage during manufacture Highly efficient energy yield (kWh/kWp) ensures stable earnings
Solar energy can also be generated in low light conditions and shade High long-term stability thanks to the use of tried-and-tested industrial coating processes. Our panel efficiency increases with high temperature as opposed to Ordinary panels where the efficiency decreases with rising temperatures.

Low Light Performance

Nano technology panels have excellent performance during low light, cloudy or hazy conditions. Nano technology panels are activated by the presence of a low level of photons. They are less dependent on direct sun radiation or the position of the sun in order to function. For this reason, they are the most diverse and effective panel available for use in low light conditions.

Larger Absorption Bandwidth

The spectrum of light spans from the ultraviolet, visible to the near-infrared zone. The spectrum absorbed by standard crystalline silicon cells ranges from 400-700 nm, while the absorption range for nano cells is from 300-1300 nm. This means that the effective time for generating power is much longer each day for Nano than other technologies. The electron power generating process keeps working from morning to sunset, allowing 20% more power to be produced per Watt on an average day when compared to crystalline silicon panels.

Different materials exhibit varying energy-emitting qualities, following exposure to sunlight. Both crystalline silicon and amorphous silicon PV exhibit degradation following long-term exposure to strong light, which reduces their ability to generate electricity. A study conducted at Arizona State University and TUV Rheinland PTL showed that modules made with crystalline silicon decrease by 0.5 percent per Celsius degree as panel temperature increases. Nano technology modules actually gain efficiency in the first few days of “sun soaking”. They generate consistent (Wh) output regardless of long periods of exposure to sunlight.

NANO technology modules are the most light-sensitive type of panel in the market. The choice is basically between panels with a slightly higher efficiency rating* generating power for a shorter period of time each day, or panels that generate electricity from morning to sunset and in low-light conditions. Research shows that NANO technology panels produce more electricity per day operating in the same natural environment. They deliver high efficiency and high overall electrical output. Even though the current NANO efficiency may be slightly lower than that of silicon-based panels, CIGS panels absorb more sunlight per day and so they produce on average, 20-40% more energy daily (Compared to conventional solar panels).

CIGS Advantage

Copper, Indium, Selenium forms an extremely thin layer that has a high absorption quality that allows 99% of the available light to be absorbed in the first micron of material. It is all applied to energy production. Adding a small amount of Gallium (G), forming (CIGS), boosts the light absorbing band gap, which makes it more closely match the solar spectrum thereby improving the voltage and efficiency of the PV cells. Due to these properties, CIGS solar chargers are significantly thinner and lighter than solar chargers built from traditional materials.
